SKYVIEW RANCH SOCCER ASSOCIATION SUMMER SOCCER CAMP

Since 2012, Skyview Soccer Association has offered fun two times per week for a summer soccer program for ages 4 to 13 through July and August.  The 2024 summer program, as the past ones  is a technical skill development program and includes an introduction to the game of soccer and progress to learning fundamental skills and team play. Our mission has always been to create a positive environment for children to learn and enjoy the game of soccer. Our program provides the opportunity for players to become resourceful and responsible members of the community. Our objective is to put a smile on every participant while improving their knowledge and soccer skills.

Our summer soccer camp is one of the most popular soccer programs in Calgary. We saw attendees coming from all four corners of the city. This program is for both level skills from beginners to advanced. Every player must be committed to attending at least 90% of the classes to earn a certificate. The players are divided into groups: under 6 (U6), under 8 (U8), under 10 (U10), under 12 (U12), under 14 (U14) and under 16 (U16) and each group is divided into teams based on the skill level. The players of U10, U12, U14 and U16 may have a chance to take part in one tournament during this program.

Our program was set up to get kids busy during the holidays and to provide consistent days of play, limited travel, and focus primarily on fun and skill development.  For U10, U12, U14 and U16, the program has multiple divisions of play and allows the players to play on teams with others at a similar skill level.

The summer soccer camp is a lot of fun with highly qualified soccer trainers with professional experience from the four corners of the globe.

Important Dates

  • Registration: January 1, 2026 – June 15, 2026
  • Deadline to register and have your name on the jersey: May 31, 2026
  • U8 New Players Evaluation: July 2, 2026 (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
  • U14 and U16 New Players Evaluation: July 2, 2026 (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
  • U10 & U11 New Players Evaluation: July 3, 2026 (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
  • U12 & U13 New Players Evaluation: July 3, 2026 (7:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
  • Last day of the program: August 27, 2026 for U4, U6, U8, U14 & U16; August 28, 2026 for U12 & U13

HOUSE LEAGUE SCHEDULE

Mondays and Wednesdays
  • 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM: U4 and U6 (Mondays: practice; Wednesdays: game)
  • 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: U8 (Mondays: practice; Wednesdays: game)
  • 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: U14 and U16 (Mondays: practice; Wednesdays: game)
Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: U10 & U11 (Tuesdays: practice; Thursdays: game)
  • 7:15 PM – 8:15 PM: U12 & U13 (Tuesdays: practice; Thursdays: game)

Any missed practice or game will be rescheduled on Friday or during the weekend.

HOUSE LEAGUE

U8, U10 & U11, U12 & U13, and U14 will participate in the Summer House League.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER REGISTRATION?

After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive more details on the program by mid-June.

WHAT IS INCLUDE IN THE FEE?

Players will receive a uniform (jersey, shorts), and a medal at the end of the program.

Equipment

Appropriate footwear is required. Cleats are  recommended for U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16.

Shin pads are mandatory for all players, including during practices.

Jerseys and shorts will be provided to all players, which they can keep at the end of the season.

Fields

All games and practice for this soccer program will be played on the 2 main soccer fields in Skyview Ranch. The 2 fields are between Sky Prairie School and the Apostles of Jesus School. We may have additional fields in neighboring communities if they are available.

Weather Condition

This is an all-weather soccer program, so please remember that your child may play in the rain. Decisions are left up to the parents at the field to decide if the child can play or not. On those cold evenings, it is recommended that the kids wear toques and gloves. If there is extreme weather condition, the coaches will decide to cancel the practice or game. Parents will be notified for the re-scheduled practice or game. We normally do not play if there is snow on the fields or in danger of lightning.

Mandatory Guardian Attendance

ApAt least one parent/guardian is required to be in attendance for the duration of each game or practice. Parents are expected to administer first aid to their child in the unfortunate and unlikely event of injury.
